As colored diamonds are becoming more and more popular, orange diamonds are still the most rare. The Largest orange diamond was put up to auction on November 12, 2013. This diamond is 14.82-carats and sold for $35.5 million, which is $2.4 million per carat.

This diamond set the record for the largest diamond ever put up to action. Pure orange diamonds are among the world’s rarest, and those that weigh over 5 carats are seldom seen at auction. The sheer size and vivid color of The Orange make it one of the most notable diamonds to date.

Can you imagine buying something that big. First off, what do you do with it, its not something you can display on the mantle, and second where do you get that kind of money !!
