a little different from the blogs i’ve been posting lately. i wanted to talk about one of my favorite peices of jewelery that i wear every day; my pandora bracelet. i love that it is unique to each person and no two bracelets are the same. pandora gives everyone a bit of individuality as companies such as tiffanys and kay jewelers do not.
Pandora has become a world fashion located in more than 65 countries on six continents. This includes over 10,000 points of sales and 750 official Pandora stores. I was able to find Pandora in Italy and Germany during my recent trip to Europe. Pandora has created charms to presents some of the countries in which it is sold. They recently released new collections which had charms such as the Statue of Liberty in New York, the London bus, the Bradenburg Gate in Berlin, the Coliseum in Rome and the Eiffel tower in Paris.
In 2000, Pandora introduced their famous charm bracelet collection which consisted of only fifteen charms. Today, the Pandora charm collection contains over 600 pieces. A variety of 14k gold and sterling silver charms, Pandora has become a new fashion of today, once which many may consider addictive. ( I know I do, I have 2 bracelet which are completely both full. I am currently working on my third).
Not only is Pandora a nice piece of jewelry, they are also known for their charity pieces. Having charms that are created for a cause helps raise money for a particular charity.
•Danmarks Indsamling charms, which is a collection of Danish companies to benefit charities in Africa
•Randers-Frogs were made for a local hospital charity event in 2003 in the town of Randers, Denmark called “Kiss the Frog”
•Lucerne clips, which looks like the lucerne dangle is a symbol of good health and which proceeds go towards the fight against Breast Cancer, was released in European cities and Australia.
There are also charms that are made for holidays and special occasions. Some holidays include Christmas, Easter, Mother’s/Father’s day, Halloween, Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year. There are also charms to celebrate special events such as The Royal Wedding, birth of a baby, or even your own wedding/ anniversary.
